Essential Honshu - customer feedback

We always ask our customers to let us know how they enjoyed their Japan tour and to share their thoughts with us on the service we provide. Below you will find a few comments kindly emailed to us from our 2002 Essential Honshu tours.

'The tour was exactly what I expected and wanted. Starting off in the tremendous city of Tokyo and working our way to the absolutely beautiful landscape of the Japanese Alps, is a great path to see as much of Japan as you can in three weeks. Jill was a fabulous guide. She is very patient, has a lot of knowledge, and is a really fun person to hang out with. Haven't heard Simon sing, but Jill is a very entertaining karaoke singer too.'

'We had a brilliant holiday. The accommodation was a good combination of traditional and modern, the transport arrangements were first class (if only Thameslink could take a few lessons from JR) and Jill was a delightful buddy. We would have no hesitation recommending Inside Japan tours to like minded travellers among our friends.'

'First let me say that the tour was really first rate with excellent hotels and great internal transportation in Japan. You set things up just great…My two favorite desinations were Osaka and Takayama, the Florence of Japan. Sushi at the fish market was fun. Hakone was like Disneyland. In Kyoto the dinners at the ryokan were excellent. Tokyo had the most English speakers and the most helpful Japanese people.'

'I think it was superb value for money. I was very happy with the meals, transport and accommodation that was all included in the price of the tour.I would like to mention two places we stayed. Firstly, the Ryoken at Takayama - the place was first class. Good location, the meals were excellent, and we were made to feel SO welcome there. And also the Fuji-Hakone Guesthouse. Again, the welcome we received was fantastic, and excellent facilities too. Plus fruit for breakfast!!!! I enjoyed staying here more than anywhere.'
